报告标题Non-Hermitian bulk-boundary correspondence in quantum dynamics

摘要Bulk-boundary correspondence, a central principle in topological matters relating bulk topological invariants to robust edge states, breaks down in a wide range of non-Hermitian topological systems. Extending the phenomena to non-unitary Floquet dynamics, we present the first experimental confirmation of non-Hermitian bulk-boundary correspondence, a fundamental generalization of the conventional bulk-boundary correspondence, in discrete-time quantum-walk dynamics of single photons. Potential realizations in cold atoms and for higher dimensions will also be discussed.
