【报告摘要】Modulation instability (MI) and Fermi-Pasta-Ulam (FPU) recurrence are central objects in nonlinear physics. In integrable systems, such two objects can be described strictly by a family of exact periodic solutions. Recent simulations and experiments demonstrated that both MI and FPU recurrence can exhibit broken reflection symmetry at the nonlinear stage of evolution. We present exact analytic results for such asymmetric dynamics.
【报告人简介】刘冲，博士，副教授，硕士生导师，彭桓武高能基础理论研究中心、陕西省理论物理前沿重点实验室、陕西省“三秦学者”创新团队和陕西省量子多体理论与量子调控创新团队核心成员，西北大学青年学术英才计划入选者（2017年），澳大利亚国立大学光学科学组访问学者。研究方向为非线性物理及其不稳定性理论。以第一/通讯作者在具有重要影响力的学术刊物（Phys.Rev.Lett.,Phys.Rev. E等）上发表论文二十余篇，撰写专著《可积模型方法及其应用》（21世纪理论物理及其交叉学科前沿丛书，科学出版社，2019）第四章，主持多项国家自然科学基金项目，兼任多个国际国内学术期刊审稿人。
