【报告题目】Modulation instabilityrogue wave correspondence hidden in integrable systems

【报告摘要】The bulk-boundary correspondence is a key feature of topological physics and is universally applicable to Hermitian and non-Hermitian systems. In this talk, I will show a similar universal correspondence intended for the rogue waves in integrable systems, by establishing the relationship between the fundamental rogue wave solutions of integrable models and the baseband modulation instability of continuous-wave backgrounds. The universality of such modulation instability-rogue wave correspondence has been corroborated using various integrable models, thereby offering an alternative way of obtaining exact rogue wave solutions from the modulation instability analysis.

【个人简介】陈世华,东南大学物理学院教授,博士生导师。200612月获华中科技大学凝聚态物理专业博士学位,20073月起在东南大学物理学院工作,2008-2009年和2015-2016年分别在法国巴黎综合理工学院做博士后和访问学者,2010年获江苏省青蓝工程优秀青年骨干教师培养计划资助,2021年获东南大学第17吾爱吾师院系最受欢迎老师,多次获得国家和江苏省自然科学基金资助,在包括PRLCommunications Physics, Physical Review Research, Optics Letters等国际知名期刊上发表论文60余篇,2020年和2021年入选由Elsevier旗下Mendeley Data发布的全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单。
