【报告题目】Towards optimal algorithm design for adiabatic quantum computing

【报告摘要】Quantum computing has attracted much attention due to its natural ability in simulating complex quantum systems and its advantages in solving classical computational problems. In the last decade, a series of new breakthroughs have been made in quantum platforms such as superconducting qubits, atomic ensembles, and photonic devices which lay the solid foundation for realizing the quantum computer. A promising computing protocol of using the computation power in these controllable quantum devices is implemented through quantum adiabatic computing (AQC). The idea of AQC is highly consistent with quantum simulations. In quantum simulations, we can design the adiabatic algorithm with the knowledge of the model. However, in adiabatic quantum computing, it is difficult for us to study the Hamiltonians of different problem instances case by case. In this talk, I will introduce a systematic study in this direction, including the algorithm design in adiabatic doping of Fermi-Hubbard model and the adiabatic algorithm design in computational tasks using machine learning methods.
