【报告摘要】:In these talks, we will discuss the effects of the gauge field caused by geometrical deformation in mono- and bilayer graphene. These deformations originate in monolayer graphene by applying in-plane and out-of-plane strain to a graphene sheet. In bilayer graphene, these gauge fields are found by means of a modulated mismatch in the relative position of the two lattices, obtained either by applying strain or shear in one of the layers or by relative rotation between the two layers. In both instances, the resulting mismatch produces characteristic moire patterns. We will discuss how these gauge fields lead to interference effects such as Ahanov-Bohm in the weak regime and Landau level-like states in the strong regime. We will also discuss other twisted bilayer materials.
