Lecture 1 (90 minutes):
• Many-body Hamiltonians: challenge and approaches. Anderson, Hubbard and Holstein-Hubbard models;
• Green’s functions approach to many-body Hamiltonians;
Lecture 2 (90 minutes):
• Many-body Impurity problems. From Anderson to Kondo problems;
• Coulomb blockade within the Green’s functions approach.
Lecture 3 (90 minutes):
• Kondo effect within the Green’s function approach.
Lecture 4 (90 minutes):
• Numerical methods for the Kondo problem;
• Numerical Renormalization group.
Lecture 5 (90 minutes):
• From Hubbard to Heisenberg model;
• 1D Heisenberg model.
Lecture 6 (90 minutes):
• Numerical approach for 1D Heisenberg chains;
• Density-Matrix renormalization group within Matrix product states;
Lecture 7 (90 minutes):
• Simple examples for MPS approach to Heisenberg chains.
Lecture 8 (90 minutes):
• Majorana Fermions in condensed matter.
Lecture 9 (90 minutes):
• Time evolution of many-body quantum states;
• Localization of many-body quantum states.
Lecture10 (90 minutes):

报告人简介:Edson Vernek于2007年毕业于巴西里约热内卢天主教大学物理学(凝聚态)专业。他于2008年受聘于印度联邦大学(Federal University of uberlindia),目前是该校教授。主要研究方向为强相关体系,包括近藤效应、磁性材料、拓扑超导体等。
