【报告摘要】:Integrated photonic circuits are revolutionizing quantum technologies by enabling the generation, manipulation, and detection of quantum states of light. This presentation discusses recent advancements in large-scale programmable integrated photonic devices, with a specific focus on microresonator lattices and interferometer meshes, for quantum computation, networking, and simulations. We will discuss the on-chip generation, manipulation, and measurement of complex entanglement for the implementation of quantum computing and networking tasks. Specifically, we will discuss quantum photonic simulations of topological physics in a lattice of coupled microresonators, unveiling discoveries of topologically-protected entanglement and rapid topological non-Hermitian phase transitions. Furthermore, we have successfully developed a fully programmable topological photonic chip capable of emulating a diverse range of topological materials.
【报告人简介】:王剑威,北京大学物理系博雅特聘教授。于2016年获得布里斯托大学博士学位。他的研究团队专注于量子信息科学与技术以及集成光子学,主要从事芯片上复杂纠缠光态的产生、处理和探测,以及集成光子量子计算、量子网络和量子模拟。在《科学》(3篇)、《自然》、《自然物理》(5篇)、《自然光子学》(6篇)、《自然材料》、《自然计算科学》、《自然综述物理》、《自然通讯》(4篇)、《科学进展》、《物理评论快报》和《光学》(3篇)等知名期刊上发表了40多篇同行评审论文,此外还有5篇CLEO截止日期后提交的论文。获得了国家杰出青年科学基金(2023年)、王大珩奖(2023年)、杨振宁奖(2022年)和饶毓泰基础光学奖(2019年)。
