【报告摘要】:By postselecting a quantum state to a specific quantum state, it is possible toassign an observable in quantum theory an anomalously large value, which lies outside thespectrum of the observable [Aharonov, Albert, and Vaidman (AAV), PRL 1988]. Whenapplied to quantum metrology and sensing, postselection measurements bring the effect ofamplification but at the cost of lowering the success probabilities. In this talk, I show thatpostselection measurements can be introduced in a generic scenario into quantum metrologybeyond the AAV setup. Furthermore, I argue that optimal postselection measurements can beviewed as an information filter to compress the metrological information into a smallsubensemble in a lossless way. Based postselected quantum metrology, I propose a novelprotocol that encodes sensing signals into quantum state via quantum measurements, wherenon-Hermitian sensing can be viewed as a special case of this protocol.
【报告人简介】:杨晶,浙江大学基础交叉研究院、量子精密测量研究院和物理高等研究院百人计划研究员、博士生导师,长期从事量子信息科学理论研究,研究兴趣包括量子传感与测量、量子开放系统与量子多体物理。目前共发表包括 Physical Review Letters在内的 SCI 论文 30 篇,分别于 2021 年、2014 年和 2011 年在美国罗切斯特大学、浙江大学和河海大学获得博士、硕士和学士学位, 瑞典北欧理论物理研究所客座研究员,入选国家级海外人才计划青年项目,2025 年加入浙江大学。
